One of the big reasons we appreciate living in Boulder is the opportunity to go skiing just 45 minutes away at Eldora, our local ski resort. Eldora provides not only alpine skiing, but also nordic and uphill skiing. Recently, I skied Eldora midweek with six inches of fresh snow overnight and it was great. You will need a parking reservation for the day and you must sign up in advance of your arrival.
